A nice vent hood can add much to the appearance of your kitchen. A vent draws attention towards the ceiling which is often an overlooked area in the home. This style is a bit too contemporary for me, as I enjoy stunning stainless systems. For me stainless speaks the kitchen being a place to cook and make great foods. Though this is a bit too much for me it makes for a nice conversation piece.
An often overlooked aspect of kitchen design is the venting for the range. Many ranges come with mundane vent hoods that serve a purpose, but don't highlight that aspect of your kitchen. I like the fact that you can add some design to the ceiling since that part of most rooms is typically static. Here is a great stainless steel example from Ventahood. I love the clean look that this adds to the overall kitchen appeal. Also, if you have stainless appliances this does a great job of creating an overall stainless look in your kitchen. For me, as I sit back and look at this pictured kitchen, I envision it as a place of activity. This kitchen has somewhat of a commercial look in a good way meaning that this family is likely active in cooking gourmet meals and entertaining guests.

The sinuous, ergonomic lines of base and wall units make it easy to organize storage space effectively. Copper countertops offer an alternative to more common designs such as granite or Corian. Many people accent their kitchen with copper pots and pans hanging from racks. A copper counter top can replace this look and yet still provide that rustic appeal. Proper care is important since metal can naturally tarnish and develop patinas.
My hat's off to the great creativity here. The featured circular item is a combination open fireplace and dome bake oven. This reminds me of old world kitchens where food was cooked over open fire and the hearth was a source of warmth for the family. I love the great modern design of the fireplace. The color combination really works between the fireplace, oven door, kitchen appliances and hardwood floors giving the room a clean look.
