It seems that many recipes call for chopping onion or garlic which can be time consuming. I have a large Cuisinart that is useful, but at the same time quite a lot to contend with depending on the size of the recipe. This product from Williams Sonoma is called the "Vegetable Chop & Measure". There are currently 84 reviews which for the most part are very favorable. I just got through watching the video. Tell me what you think if this is a worthwhile kitchen gadget or not? It did meet my first requirement that it is dishwasher safe! Price: $30. Available: here.

This new release from Williams Sonoma is made by J.K. Adams of Vermont. The wooden cutting boards are made from sustainable maple, thus providing the strength of hardwoods for cooking preparation. The boards are laser engraved to provide instant recognition whether you are prepping chicken, beef or vegetables. Representing a young and dynamic spin on modern kitchen design, Ernestomeda takes only the necessary elements into consideration, leaving a clean right to the point solution. The collection features warm wood and stainless steel with durable Corian to appeal to the visual and manageable aspects of today's kitchen design. Right away I was impressed with the Solairs standalone counter / kitchen island that incorporates dual sinks, cooktop, lighting, drawers, serving bar, and counter space for food preparation in a cool modern package. I think Solaris would work perfectly in most modern kitchens and I can see it really standing out on acid washed cement floors.
