Now that you have the perfect modern desk, accessorize it with a really cool desk lamp. The Chain Lamp from designer Iliara Marelli and ItalianLuce makes the best of a small fixture with four 1 watt LED bulbs surrounded by a case aluminum construction. The Chain Lamp can be used unfolded as a task light and folded flat to make the perfect accent light. This little compact lamp unfolds from 2 ¾" totally flat to a nice 22" when fully extended. Folie is the creation of designer Giovanni D'Ambrosio. Manufactured by Muranodue, Folie is framed in a silver lacquered finish. The most stunning elements of the hanging lamp are the glass bulbs which create a gentle and tasteful feel to the entire piece. Each glass ball is made of satin-finish blown glass. I like how the glass fixtures appear at different heights while at the same time do not create a "busy disjointed" look which may put off more simple-modern décor fans. Available: here.

From Italian lighting company Utlraluce comes the contemporary hanging ceiling lamp "So". The lamp is constructed of polyethylene and is available in orange, green, or white.
