Danish based VerPan in cooperation with Marianne Panton and family has received the rights to reproduce some of Verner Panton's famous lamps and lighting designs. The VerPan philosophy is "to produce lighting in accordance with the original Verner Panton principles; creating a synthesis between quality and originality with immense respect for his special talent for working with light". Personally I am glad the mid-century modern classics are being offered and shared with the new generations who could use some help from the founders of the movement. Here are a few that caught my eye but you can see the rest of the lamp and hanging lamp collection here.

If you don't have nightstands in your bedroom then perhaps attaching lamps to the wall can provide lighting for the room. The metal wall lamps in the picture here are attached to the bedroom wall to save space and yet provide light for reading while sitting in bed. These fixtures come with movable arms which offer flexibility if you need light up close. These units can be hard wired into the wall or just have a cord run directly into a power outlet. The wall lamps are adorned with polished brush nickel and measure 5" x 25" x 10.5"h. Price: $99 each. Available: here.

Designers Tony Lanzillo and Carlos Martinengo created the Mobius wall lamp with inspiration from the intuition to apply the mathematical model of Moebius Bands, an infinite shape for infinite light. The Mobius wall lamp is manufactured by Fontana Arte of Italy in aluminum in three different looks that will provide subtle lighting to fill in those dark spots. Fontana Arte has been a leader in innovative lamps and wall lighting with a distinct flair for every application. 12 x 17 x 37 cm

The "Panton Chair" is a world famous icon of mid century modern design immediately recognizable from its picture. Verner Panton had many other great creations including the Flowerpot Lamp featured here. The Flowerpot Lamp was manufactured by Louis Poulsen of Denmark. The example pictured here features a bright orange finish with a round shade. The wall mounting bracket and arching arm of the lamp gives the image of a flower leaning out of a pot and hence the name. Hopefully, you will find one of these at a great price in a thrift store near you. 18"w x 8"d x 18.5"h.
