Here are some new lighting ideas that add a soft touch to any room. The ceiling lighting, wall sconce, and small table lamp are part of the Clessidra Collection by Studio Italia Design. I really like the shape of the fixture in the collection and find that it will work in many home decorating styles. The glass comes in five colors to choose from: red, white, amber, yolk, and a soft purple. You can learn more about the product on their website here.

"Mir" is a round hanging light available in many sizes from MASSIERO Per Amor Di Stile of Italy. Mir comes in two options with chrome plated metal or a blown glass sphere. The detail that catches my attention is the transparent crystal balls underneath the sphere. The craftsmanship of the crystal balls is impeccable making for a wonderful light experience as it is projected through the transparent crystal. Price: $2,073. More information: here.
Here is a submission of lamps and lighting by Leucos. These pieces just debuted at the Milan Furniture Fair. The most striking for me is the "MOAI floor light" featuring a unique shape that combines lamp and sculpture. MOAI was created by a young Turkish designer named Defne Koz. The other lighting examples feature wonderful hanging lights that stir the imagination. Source: Leucos. For more Milan Furniture Fair stories check out: Milan Fair 1 and Milan Fair 2.
