I have to rave about this ottoman fold out bed from Spencer Interiors. This is a great piece of furniture for small spaces such as a loft or a flat. When I first came across the picture I had to do a double take to make sure it was only an ottoman and not a couch. This piece is from the Meridiani Collection and is called the Willis fast bed. It would be great to have this around, because you never know who may be coming by to stay. At 78'' long this could sleep a person that is six feet tall.
39.4" wide x 32.68" deep, seat height: 18.9"
mattress: 29.52" x 78.74", length when open: 90.55"

I really like the clean look of this sleeper sofa from Haiku Designs. Many of the sleepers on the market are big and bulky and look like they house a bed. This simple design, however, does not have a bulky look and yet offers great flexibility. On top of that it is hard to beat the black leather and chrome combination. A great feature of this piece is that there are multiple positions that the sofa can be adjusted to giving the owner great flexibility. I also find this piece to be transitional with its sleek appearance. It could be the center point in your living room or placed some where else in your home as an accent piece.
Many of us live in large cities where rent has become so expensive that space is at a great premium. As rent costs have gone up, the size of apartments and homes have gone down in square footage for the average tenant. Many of us may only be able to afford a flat or small home if we wish to remain centrally located to a large city.
High rents have created more innovation in the furniture industry where designers are making multi-use pieces while striving for space conservation. Such a piece is the Atoll wall unit and corner sofa from Clei furniture. The Atoll is a great looking sectional sofa with a clean modern look and elegant appeal. I really love this piece, because I think it will work in so many homes. The couch is very minimalist by design. The pillows complement the sofa and invite people to get comfortable and take a seat.
The hideaway bed component is cleverly hidden behind a wall panel and nice shelf. Pictured here is darker paneling. Clei offers many other colors which I like since the dark wood may not match your home's colors. There are also many different colors of fabric to choose from for the sofa. The sofa uses slip covers which can be easily taken off and washed making for easier upkeep.
I love the multiple uses of this piece of furniture from French manufacturer, Ligne Roset. You can see from the lady lying across that it can function as a day bed. The back on the opposite side would make for a nice sofa back upon which to sit upon. Then there is another seat back available on the other side. I think it is great that this sitting piece can offers so many features for its owner. The shade of red is not too overpowering and would complement many rooms. The simple lines and shapes are influences from its contemporary design.
I know many of you reading this are past the bunk bed stage, but just in case here is a super cool one. The Lollipop from Bonbon Trading is not your ordinary metal kiddie bed with a primary color and tubular steel construction. This is a much more modern and clean style easily adaptable to any environment or decorating theme. Closed, the total depth is just 31 cm and it simply folds out for comfortable, slatted bedding with optional overhead storage for the ultimate in a href="http://www.furniturestoreblog.com/2007/07/22/a_sofa_bed_taken_to_new_heights_1.html">space saving. To make it more enticing there is an optional table that connects to the fully closed bed which is perfect for dining or homework, whatever the case may be.
