Rimadesio of Italy combines aluminum structuring with satin and acid-etched glass in a variety of vivid colors to create their four sliding door collections each with their own distinct characteristics. The Siparium collection even includes large folding doors for smaller rooms that don't have space for sliding doors. Here is an exciting modern furniture design called "Workflow" that brands itself as an inverted office cubicle. Though the initial look probably brings about questions to its function, the follow up picture shows three different uses for the product. Workflow can be used as a desk, lounge seat, and meeting area all in one. I have to admit, the lounge seat looks very comfortable for laptop use. The Sphere Hotel is a project created by Russian designer, Milla Rezanova. The concept interior design drawings and modern furniture presented here are part of the designer's plan to create a luxury place of isolation for guests. You can see that the hotel comes out of a cliff face which in of itself is a very ambitious undertaking. Views would be created on both sides of the hotel which is often an issue when you stay near a beach for example. The hotel location is intended to be near Dubai in the United Arab Emirates. Guests would only be able to arrive via helicopter travel. The interior design concepts in the rooms and lobbies are very contemporary with wonderful modern furniture designs. This decorating motif meshes well with the overall project since conceptually building a hotel into a cliff face is a very futuristic project.

One of the great things about running Furniture Fashion is getting a chance to meet designers and get a glimpse into their creativity. Beyond that, I really enjoy seeing new contemporary furniture designs come to market. Milla Rezanova sent in these samples that feature contemporary styling at its highest level of creativity. There is a wide sampling of seating coupled with a lighting and coffee table example. Perhaps, the most striking to me is the coffee table design followed by the white dining chairs. Now you see it, now you don't. Franz Josef Schulte of Schulte Design has devised this sleek and modern portable fireplace that manages to be as unassuming as any hide away fireplace could be. The Firebo-x features a very modern low profile with a reflective back that adds drama to a hopefully romantic experience. Also includes two storage drawers, because you can't have to much storage space. The Firebo-x also features a polished glossy stainless steel burner kit which burns eco-friendly bio ethanol fuel which by the way is virtually maintenance free. The portable aspect of the Firebo-x fireplace makes it perfect for an outdoor party in the backyard, or a cozy night curled up on your sofa. See more here.
