In today's market, high-end clothing and furnishings are becoming as popular in the US as they have always been in Europe. Americans have practically been conditioned to go for quantity over quality, and it ends up costing them more in the long run. If many US consumers were to go into a high-end furnishing store and see a simple chair they loved, but saw that it was $1,500.00 dollars, they may turn around and walk right out.
A European would inquire about the chairs quality, durability, warranty, and versatility, then weigh its attributes against a cheaper version that cost half as much. Most often the cheaper version will be similar in looks, but the original version will last 5 times longer than the lower quality copy. In theory, the European consumer just saved over double the higher-end chairs worth.

The Nuevo furnishings line from Dakota Jackson is designed for the modern home. I am particularly fond of the storage cabinet and credenza. For me the white squares bring out another aspect in these pieces and make them easier to tie into other colors in a room, in particular the floors or walls. White squares provide tasteful aesthetic details that blend in well with other aspects of the rooms. My next favorite piece is the occasional table though I would need it in another color besides natural to match my current living room. There are six stains available in this collection: natural, maple, cherry, cordovan, russet, and ebonized. The primary wood used in construction is maple. German manufacturer Adelta is responsible for some simply outstanding modern furniture and has a long standing history with Finish designer Eero Aarnio. In 2002 Adelta revealed Aarnio's Parabel dining tables at the International Furniture Fair in Cologne Germany in his favorite material, fiber glass, as only this material allows such a free and expressive design like a sculpture. According to Aarnio "there are only few such long lasting and easy to care materials to meet the needs of a table surface. When designing new items like the Parabel Table, in my case, there is a lot of inspiration and very much craftsmanship and technical knowledge." Aarnio prefers the Parabel table to be sold only in white as it especially marks out the sculptural elements.
