I came across these pictures and was drawn to how eclectic the home decorating scheme of the house was. In some ways it reminds me of a whimsical fairy tale style, but it is often coupled with strong contemporary undertones. This is the Bloom House by architect, Greg Lynn. The Jesse modern furniture collection from Italy has really expanded in the right direction in the past few years and these pictures from the recent Salone del Mobile in Malano show what they are up to. I have had personal dealings with Jesse and have see them progressively become one Italy's top modern furniture manufacturers, and their latest adventure will include some specialty stores identified by their trademark "J". As you would expect from any furniture showroom Jesse really put forth a complete modern home interior design concept with all rooms included. The showroom in Milan is 800 sqm and features elements in dark oak, brushed pine, and walnut veneers accentuated by lacquered surfaces and textured fabrics confirming the collection continuous evolution. This furniture design submission comes from Ubisapdesign Group from Greece. The product is called "ROCO" which is short for Ring of Communication. The concept of this product is to enhance communication. It is constructed of lightweight plastic in a rounded shape. The round shape can serve as a meeting area where people can talk "face to face" and solve issues. The table is entirely portable in that it can be lifted and carried easily, or simply rolled on its side through a door way. The middle of the table has a touch screen measuring 36" which can be used as a computer or TV. Via.

The AntiDiva display at the recent Salone Internazionale del Mobile featured the "Cut Sofa & Chair" that was created by Italian designer Domenico de Palo. This example of contemporary furniture design cuts substance down to a minimum. The minimal impact of the sofa and chair is overpowering when you consider that despite its minimal appearance, it can easily accommodate multiple guests for seating. Via.
