Here is a white recliner that is a joint effort from Stokke of Norway and Japanese designer Toshiyuki Kita. Pictured here is the maple finish. This piece comes in a variety of other wood finishes. Of particular interest are the angles in this chair. Combined with the wood as it meets the angles, you can see the influence from master designer Charles Eames. I like the lift of this modern recliner as it creates a fair amount of space between the base and the bottom of the chair. This technique makes pieces appear smaller than they are though the seating area is that of any normal chair.
