Designer Louis Lara of Florida is the inspiration by the new Onda sectional from Dellarobbia. The first thing that catches my eye is the way the backrest is shaped and how it fits with the seating area. The backrest is defined by clean lines in particular where it makes is curve at the end of each side. Further, the backrest looks almost "tucked in" where it meets the seating area providing another little decorative element to the Onda sectional. There are different sizes and shapes available depending on how much sofa you are looking for. On one end there is the piece that wraps around and the ends curl to nearly face one another. Style speaks volumes in this white sofa from Atelier NYC. The designers for this piece were A. Piazzesi and C. Bimbi. You can see from the squared off ends the contemporary design influence. I do like that the frame is elevated off the ground by small furniture feet. I find that the frame creates a box feel and that the seating section creates a nice box on top of the frame. The two elements just seem to go together for this design, thus creating a nice architectural shape. The white sofa is available in both fabric and leather upholstery. More information: here.

Oh how I love Italian modern furniture, especially when it looks like the low seductive styling that Arketipo is known for. The "Loft" modular sofa sectional from designer Adriano Piazzesi is not the typical put it against the wall style with a stapled on back, far from it. This ultra low leather or fabric seating group features striking lines, thin metal supports, and an adjustable back with accent pillows so comfort won't be a problem.
