The Pixel Sofa from Dune Furniture is just that - pixilation. Thinking of digital images and how pixels make up the image, what if you changed a few pixels to a different color? This is the effect in this sofa as a few sections have been made white on an otherwise black background. Before I was thinking about pixels, my first impression was that of a domino. I found myself trying to count the white spaces to see which domino it was! Nonetheless, this piece is interesting though its color pattern may be tricky for most people to match to their home's furnishings. Product: here.

A white sofa broadcasts a large design message to family and friends. Though there is some down side in keeping it form becoming discolored, there is no denying the powerful statement that it makes. The Arthe sofa and side table from Cor of Germany are wonderful examples of this premise. Being paired together, the construction of the legs is matched creating a nice symmetry between the two pieces. I also am a fan of tables such as these that allow you to bring them very close by if needed since the legs can fit underneath the sofa. This is a pair that I would not mind having at my next party! Sometimes I prefer an overall shape to speak for the design of a piece. The Malou Couch is just such a design piece where the clean lines of the shape define its existence.
