The Flow sofa features a contrast of colors like much of what you would see in a common domino. Black and white combine to make a cool looking design fit for a contemporary home setting. This piece comes from Indera Furniture and is designed by Xavier Lust. The frame has been constructed from a single sheet of aluminum. The one piece construction technique creates a futuristic feel since there are no seams anywhere on the frame. The frame is then powder coated with paint which creates a stunning finish. This piece can be used both indoors and outdoors, because its construction methods decrease its vulnerability to moisture. Outdoor cushions are available should you choose to use this on a patio area. Via.

Ligne Roset has always had a willingness to bring unique designs to the public and of coarse it helps when you have great designers like Francois Bauchet. I really like the creative aspect of the Yang Sofa but its versatility is the most appealing feature. This four piece sofa set has options for two curved opposing sofas or a small "L" shaped mini sectional with an extra accent chair left over. The Yang is really four identical sections that make up a well rounded square, which in this case the sum of the parts is as cool as the whole. Ligne Roset has a complete collection of classically minded furniture for todays contemporary decor. Price: $3,100 - $3,700 per sofa piece.

Hockney is a contemporary sofa sectional with abstract shapes combined with normal shapes. The overall piece looks a bit abstract. Individual parts of the sectional, such as the rounded area, are much more commonplace in furniture design. The compilation of the Hockney sofa is likely attributed to the famous artist. David Hockney could paint from abstract to very detailed portraiture as he was a master at his trade. As far as comfort goes, there is ample room for lounging. The low back height could be a challenge for taller people and would need to be tested by the individual for comfort. The sofa was designed by Rodolfo Dordoni. Measurements: 88" w x 24" h x 142" d. Price: $9,857. Available: here.

When your designs exude such style they are capable of breaking traditional boundaries and combining the best of old and new you have made a real statement. Roche Bobois is known for their ability to put aside market trends and cost issues and simply produce desirable home furnishings. The IL Teatro sofa by designer Philippe Bouix carries on that historic tradition with a wide expansive seating surface of goose down and full top grain leather shown here in opposing colors which adds a degree of drama to the piece. I particularly like the curved shape that feeds into built in end tables that are accessible thanks to the low profile arms. As shown 387 x 71 x 105 cm other size sofas are available as well as a straight model and ottoman. Also shown Flap bookcase and Archipel coffee table designed by Rene Bouchara.
