When one of the world's foremost architects creates furniture you can be sure that it will be interesting. Such is the case with the Heller Frank Gehry sofa. It is almost hard to describe the unique lines and shapes in this couch. I am fascinated with the lines of this piece. The lines are so edgy. There are so many shapes I am amazed out how they actually come together and form a functional piece. The construction is one piece molded polymer. Measurements: 30"L x 72"W x 39.5"D x 17.5"SH. Available from mod livin for $1,200.

Here is a great curvy sofa from Lee Jofa furniture. The striking thing about this piece is the use of curves to define its overall shape. First there is the curve from the middle out to each end. Then there is the gentle slope of the back rest as it flows down into the arms. The arms of the sofa embrace curvature thereby supporting the overall design theme. A lot of couches may be boxy, but the Lytham sure is not.

Here is a great looking modern sofa from Bludot Furniture that has ultra clean lines and a surprisingly reasonable price tag. I personally like the Couchoid sofa for it's unique style and its deviation from the norm. Since 1997 the goal of Bludot has been to bring good design to as many people as possible and that means affordability. In addition to their ultra modern pieces, they also have some retro and lifestyle designs that are equally cool. Couchoid is available in white, dark brown, and robins egg blue for $1699.00

The Montecito 2 sectional from American Leather takes well rounded curves to a whole new level. The American Leather company takes leather furniture to a higher level as well with very unique designs and only the best materials. Whether traditional or very modern this quality maker sets itself apart in high end manufacturing. This picture can give the design justice but not the rich selection of leathers you will have to experience for yourself.

So you win the lottery, what do you do? Many of us would buy a beach home in the Mediterranean, Caribbean or another beautiful body of water. Of course shopping for such a home would be hard work. It would likely take months to narrow down the specific island on which to purchase a home. Once you have made that final decision, it would come time to decorate the new beach house.
There would not be much time for decorating between all the traveling and other pressing things that would need to be done in managing your new found fortune. That is where Tommy Bahama Home comes in. Why spend a lot of time shopping for furniture? You may as well spend top dollar and decorate it with furniture from Tommy Bahama Home.
Two pieces I like from the collection are the Lanai chair and ottoman and the Dutch East Indies sofa. If you want to lay out in the sun or sit on the veranda, that is where the Lanai chair and ottoman come in. Let's face it. It just looks comfortable. After the hard day on the beach you can recline on the Dutch East Indies sofa and wind down. Sounds like a hard life.
