When you think of leather you think of Italy, after all they have been producing some of the worlds finest leather goods for generations. When you think of leather furniture one name stands out as the world leader in design and production, Natuzzi. Founded in the 1950's by Pesquale Natuzzi, the company is still driven by the same standards of excellence that made them famous. Their name has become synonymous with fine quality and innovative style that others tend to imulate but never seem to get quite right. One of my personal favorites is the Plaza collection for its sleek low style and clean lines. Many of their models are available in sectionals or conventional sofa groups with many accent chairs and chaise lounges.

You have to love the carefree look of this Isamu Noguchi reproduction sofa at Modern Collections. The subtle lines on the back of the sofa support the free form image that Noguchi was trying to create. The matching ottoman shares the same lines as the sofa. What a great piece of modern furniture. Price $2,989.

Have you ever found some loose change in the cushions of your sofa, well this concept takes it a step further. From the Obsessive Furniture line, creator Johnny Swing takes everyday items and transforms them into art, and usable furniture. Using 6400 nickels he has made a contoured sofa that is sure to be a conversation piece. Some of his other designs include the quarter chair and a Jardelier which is a chandelier made of jars. There are other examples of usable art from this line available at JohnnySwing.com.

This may be the ultimate combination especially for those who love to read in bed. From Domodinamica comes the Morfeo sofa sleeper with some really great curves and a very fun look. It has been compared to a cartoon character but this creature's antennas are very useful reading lights that can be turned off individually, and adjusted to multiple positions.Morfeo can really compliment a modern decor or finish off a guest room. The sleeper is very comfortable making it as useful as it is cool. The Morfeo comes in several colors and costs around $5500.
The Basic model loveseat from Pottery Barn has a classic look that will stay in style for years. This piece is great for smaller spaces while allowing two people to sit comfortably. Perhaps, the best feature is the slip covers that cover the cushions. The slip covers allow for easy cleaning. There are also a multitude of colors from which to choose as well as a few different fabric styles. These options allow you to change out your home decor by simply changing slip covers to a different color or fabric style. This piece retails from $1,300 - $1,600 depending on the options selected at your favorite Pottery Barn retail location.
