For the Italian based FITTING project, modular storage and furniture systems is nothing new. In fact their first modular furniture system was established in 1960 thanks to the technological and stylistic research of designer Ampelio Piarotto. With a focus on "satisfying the evolving needs off contemporary lifestyles" FITTING shows us the less boring way to store books in their "Pyramid" modular bookcase system that is only restrained by you collection of novels or available wall space. The pyramid modern bookcase system features frame work of silver aluminum and back panels in silver and black. See the entire collection of modular storage systems and storage cabinets from FITTING here.

This product comes from SIDD of Canada who is known for their flair for woodworking. "Stagger" combines bookshelves, drawer storage, and glass door storage all into one piece. The concept itself is cool just combining three different elements of organizing that every home needs. I am found of the jagged gap in the center that works itself up from right to left. It creates an illusion of two different pieces, though it is one. You can learn more about this piece on the SIDD site here.
Here is another cool furniture find from designer Rainer Mutsch of Austria. His modern bookshelf or room divider called "Crash" has a very informal look as if the parts crashed together to create a myriad of different shaped storage spaces. This visually striking storage shelf may also be floated off the wall as a room divider and assembles with a series of interlocking panels without any hard ward. See the rest of the unique modern furniture from the Rainer Mutsch collection here.

I came across 4 medicine cabinets from 9 Digits that I wanted to write about today. As much as I am on the internet and browsing magazines for ideas, I don't see a lot of medicine cabinets. 9 Digits offers 4 styles of cabinets that vary from classic, to retro, to square. In small bathrooms it is hard to find any storage space and the wall might need to be used to provide storage above ground. You can learn more about their products on their website here.

Here is a taste of a few new releases from designer, Jeff Miller. These two versions feature storage shelving where inspiration is drawn from the Plato cube. These models are oversized in comparison to the original Plato cube, but still provide the inspirational feel of the original release. I have provided two pictures of the original piece as a point of comparison. I like how the new arrangement uses a variety of shapes and colors to craft a more artistic image of the shelving unit. These pieces can be found at the Cerruti Baleri booth at the Milan Furniture Fair. Source: Jeff Miller.
