Traditional furniture is always interesting as it has such a depth of design and detailing that are not found in other types of home furniture. The "Milan" dining table from Century Furniture caught my interest as it is a beautiful cross section of solid wood measuring 104 x 40 inches with a very unprocessed look. The natural element and graining is of course unique to each dining table which makes it a very special piece. I really like the light recessed base structure in bronze finished brass that allows the top to remain the main focal point while keeping the overall feel light and refreshing. I thought it was time to include some traditional bathroom vanities from the folks at Restoration Hardware. Their "British Cane" single and double sink vanity series has a rather rich look thanks to contrasting birch veneers over solid Birch frames, solid drop-forged brass hardware finished in oil rubbed bronze, and nicely topped off with Italian Carrara marble. The British Cane bathroom vanity also includes a 17" under mount washbasin and a removable back panel to accommodate any plumbing configuration. Well no St. Patrick's Day would be complete without highlighting a pub table and chairs set. If you cannot get out to your favorite pub for a pint of Guinness, then perhaps a pub table and chairs set like this will suffice. I like elevated tables such as this as sitting higher seems to encourage more conversation from guests. I find this to be true on elevated dining sets as well. This set goes beyond basic seating for beer and would be a fine place to share a bottle of wine with friends as you see in the picture. Price: $1,097. Buy product: here.
